I finally made it to the peak this summer. This is one of my favorite spots in Southern Oregon. Get a map before you try to reach it. We drove up past Ashland Ski Area to Jackson Gap from which we walked the rest of the way to the peak. The drive was 12 miles, which was slow, but possible in a Camry. The walk, about a mile one way, was an easy hike along a dirt road. We went in August, yet there were still an ample amount of wildflowers in bloom and it was nice cool weather. The drive from Mt. Ashland was very nice and we spotted some other areas and a campsite we want to check out later.
